Current Reads

When I am not driving all over kingdom come I like to read. here's some good stuff that I hav been reading.
"The Green Acres of Asher Witherow" by M. Allen Cunningham. A good book about a young boy growing up in a small mining community of Nortonville back in the 1860-70's. The author makes it both believeable and uses beautifully descriptive words that makes you feel like you are there. You can really picture the scenes the author talks about. Good first book for this author.
"The Alpine Scandal" by Mary Daheim. Mary's books start getting similiar after a while, but it is still good and an easy read. Mary's main character is Emma Lord, who is a small town editor and owner of a local newspaper who always seems to stumble into a situation involving murder.
"Name Withheld" by J.A. Jance. J.P. Beaumont is the main character and very believeable character who serves as a homocide detective in the Northwest. Wealthy because of an inheritance from a short marriage. Beaumont isn't exactly a team player, but he is a great detective. Also a very easy read and enjoyable book.
